I'm working on an AI-first programming language called Brass. It has two core goals:1) Clean & AI-Efficient Syntax - It focuses on explicit code with clear contracts, avoids excessive abstraction, and makes lookups and edits more token-efficient through built-in tools that replace the reason → grep → reason → grep-again AI loop.2) Helps Build Secure and Correct Systems - A function can only reach outside the program, like a database or a payment API, through a permission passed in as a parameter. It can pass that permission along or narrow it, never widen it. - Every promise it makes says how it’s backed: proven, checked at runtime, or assumed. So when an edit looks right but breaks a promise, it’s rejected before anyone reviews it. - Next up: sealed functions. Once a function is reviewed, it gets a fingerprint, and any change is flagged until someone approves it.Brass is currently mostly a spec, but I built a syntax checker to test preliminary assumptions around token efficiency.
